Know your Car.

Before value comes understanding.

01

Authenticity

Is the car what it claims to be? I look beyond badges and paperwork. Numbers, construction details, repairs and the traces of earlier work all have something to say. Sometimes the answer is straightforward. Sometimes it takes a closer look. Either way, you deserve to know.
02

Originality

Original is not the same as perfect. I examine what has survived, what has been changed and whether those changes matter. A fifty-year-old finish can be worth preserving. A beautiful restoration can be entirely appropriate. The important thing is knowing the difference.
03

Condition

I want to understand the car, not simply tick boxes. Bodywork, mechanical condition, previous repairs, maintenance and the likely work ahead all belong in the picture. I explain what I find in plain language, including what needs attention now and what can wait.
04

Valuation

A valuation needs evidence, not wishful thinking. I consider the car itself alongside comparable sales, rarity, provenance and current demand. The result is a reasoned assessment of market value. What the car means to you is another matter — and one I take seriously too.

Originality has a history. Sometimes you can see it.
